Biographie

I studied engineering at Arts et Métiers (1992) and PhD at the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble (1996). I was a lecturer at the University of Burgundy at the IUT of Chalon (between 1996 and 2004) where I taught power electronics and automation and developed research work in the field of image processing for industrial quality control within the Le2i Le Creusot team. I have been a Professor at the Arts et Métiers since 2004 on the Chalon site at the image institute of which I am the deputy director.

My research work concerns the adequacy between human perception and technological rendering in a virtual immersion application context. From a technological point of view, I am interested in the development of methods to assist in the design of virtual reality systems that take into account the uses and the human being. From a perceptual point of view, I am interested in how to adapt navigation and interaction modalities in order to guarantee the best possible virtual immersion for humans.

My scientific goal is to contribute to an empathic virtual reality.
