Biographie

Philippe VERON est Professeur des Universités à l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers (Arts et Métiers), grande école d’ingénieur en sciences et technologies dans le domaine du génie mécanique, du génie industriel et du génie énergétique. 

Il est chercheur au sein Laboratoire d'Ingénierie des Systèmes Physiques et Numériques (LISPEN, unité n°7515 du Ministère de la Recherche, www.lispen.ensam.eu) en science de la conception et ingénierie numérique de produits et bâtiments industriels complexes. Ses principaux travaux de recherche portent sur le développement d'approches de modélisation géométrique, de formalisation et d’intégration de connaissances dans le contexte d'un environnement de conception multi-vues et intégré. Un intérêt particulier est également porté aux approches de conception collaborative de produits multi-sites et la gestion des cycles de vie produits (PLM : Product LifeCycle Management).

Il est directeur de l'institut Carnot ARTS (www.ic-arts.eu) qui regroupe 23 laboratoires de recherche français pour développer des travaux de recherche pour les entreprises. Il est président du réseau français des 39 instituts Carnot (www.instituts-carnot.eu) et vice-président du concours d'innovation i-Lab du ministère français de la recherche. Il est également responsable de la formation d'ingénieur « Ingénierie des Produits et Systèmes Complexes » et co-directeur de la formation Mastère Spécialisé « Ingénierie Numérique des Produits et Bâtiments »
