Ana Sofia Gonçalves obtained her M. Eng degree in Industrial and Management Engineering from Coimbra University in 2020. Her master's thesis, which focused on the balance and sequence of mixed-model assembly lines, was developed in collaboration with the French engineering school ENSAM. She joined the LISPEN laboratory, by the end of 2020, as a development engineer in the Industrial Management department. She is currently responsible for expanding the activities of the Learning Factory, with a focus on integrating innovative technologies, particularly the Internet of Things (IoT).
Her primary research areas encompass Lean management, production flow analysis, technological development, and human-centric approaches.
